Here we have another nicely presented 4″ scale Foster Traction Engine. Built originally in 1992, with a freshly re-tubed professional steel boiler (all original plate certificates included), this is a solidly built and ready to rally machine. She's on a new 10 year professional boiler ticket and although the top end is not fresh and new, it still turns over nicely without blowing past too much. It's one of the freest turning over Traction Engines we have ever had in! The paintwork and lining is not bad either, there is certainly the odd chip and scuff all over the engine as you'd expect for a rallied engine, but the overall effect is still tidy, and we think the livery suits it particularly well.
All the usual bits and bobs are there, crank pump and injector to get the water in, and a water lifter to fill up the tank. Mechanical lubricator on top of the cylinder. The tires are glued onto steel rings so that you can still see the steel strakes underneath showing through.
Fully road registered with it’s own V5 log book, she can come of course with a fresh set of certificates ready to rally.
